That's the point. If it is harmful to the skin it's also harmful to viral material. The epidermis of the skin is much thicker than the lipid layer protecting the RNA of the virus.
Wear UV-blocking clothing and apply sunblock to exposed skin to mitigate skin damage risk. Overall heat/discomfort incentivizes keeping interactions short.
