Wasn't suggesting detailed similarities between Valkyrie situation and now, just suggesting the movie as a dramatization that could clarify what goes on when a military splits abd fights.

Russian Civil War is actually a good example. So is the Spanish. The main need is two sides that each feel so separate from the other that they are willing to fight rather than submit to the other being in power.

'Loyalty to the chain of command' becomes messy if you have two competing chains of command. Say if Trump fails to win reelection, but says the defeat was due to fraud, and he's still rightful President on January 20th....
