My work "better half" is in the (huge and highly successful) Patel clan, by marriage. They own many of the best restaurants in the area. Her husband manages pharmacists for a national chain in a 3-state region.

She and I have been called "carrots and peas", because we are such a complementary high-tech team. She's the best damn analyst I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Together we have delivered dozens of highly complex projects for MegaCorp, under budget and on time, over the past 5 years since we first teamed up.

Her boys love baseball, and love to read. One of them loves airplanes, so I told her about the Young Eagles program. He got to co-pilot a small plane with one of the great volunteer pilots, and absolutely loved it. He wants to take flying lessons. They're only 10, but are eagerly reading Ernest K Gann, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Rinker Buck.

In short, the Patels are smart, successful AMERICANS who enhance our country in many ways. I'm proud to call them friends. This sign sickens me.
