Vlad is not interested in empire. Empire is a expensive business.
Vlad inherited the Oligarch system and has played a bad hand well. What he has skillfully done is stymied the forces of chaos and dismemberment.
Vlad should write a book on governance...lovely touch--the re-installation of Religion as a central feature of Russian life.
