Very few kids would be born if all potential parents choose to wait until they felt able to afford them. Sacrifices made by loving parents selflessness rather the being selfish make for a better society for all.
But there are those who are all for life at conception but once born feel you are on your own, good luck!
Then there is the American Dream of being able to rise up to ones full potential if willing to work hard. The reason for this may well be in the public school system in place for all. One where all are given K thru 12 instruction. It was decide long ago the benefits of this. Over the years the addition of years occurred, now I feel at least 2 years of collage should be added due to the increase need in preparation for the new century.
But my having to pay so others can send their children to a private religious school crosses the church and state separation. Pretty plain and simple.
