BTW, PhD dissertations are available online to anyone who wants them (that's the point of PhD's - to contribute distinct and original academic knowledge, something I'm not surprised you wouldn't know).

Here's Columbia's comment on Crowley's apparent plagiarism on her PhD dissertation at Columbia:
“We have no comment on Monica Crowley’s dissertation, which was submitted in 2000 and is publicly available. The University’s process for addressing concerns raised about University research preserves the confidentiality of any review, and even the fact of a review’s existence is confidential while it is underway.
