I think the scenario that Trump turns out to be a true Populist has a a good 50% probability.

Sure, the Bolshevik revolution worked out so well. Especially the Stalinist phase. Oddly, never evolved to end-stage communism as promised, unless Kelpto-Putininst capitalism is a phase on the way.....
