People factionalize and do the with us/against us thing quite naturally. It can be disconcerting sometimes. You have to try not to take it all too seriously. People aren't in their right minds at such times.
We are mostly white males on this bus, after all--except for Barbara, bless her, and Zeke who tries to be a super blue male. If I'm mis-categorizing anyone with this comment--sorry.
