The dealer wanted $3500 each for 'em. Shoulda went to the bank & took out a loan, IF you can find a full-auto M-60 nowadays, you're lookin' at a healthy 5 figures for one...If I was to ever lose my senses & wanna sell the Uzi, I MIGHT start entertaining offers pretty far north of $5K...Last M-16 I saw at a gun show was a cool $8500, & that's been 5 years ago, anyway. These guns are literally almost too valuable to shoot...The old 1919 Potato Diggers & certain Tommy guns are that way now. The best part of the Uzi is that its a very robust weapon, nothing much to wear out or break, so I don't worry about that. Haven't shot it in a couple of years, though. Last time I did it was w/a buddy of mine & his 14 yr old son, the kid couldn't have had a bigger grin on his face after shooting it than if we'd fixed him up w/Hannah Montana... That grin on that boy's face made it all worthwhile for me...

Uzi, fires from an open bolt, what could be simpler. Don't have to worry about cook offs either. Same with a Thompson. Although I would imagine if you got either that hot the barrel would tend to hang like a wet noodle, and you wouldn't be able to pick it up with baking gloves.
You're right about buying a full auto, talk about something that appreciates. Can't go wrong with the "Rampant Colt Logo", or any one of a kind, rare firearm.
The RIGHT firearms are incredible investments. Hell, back when I bought my Mak 90 from the House of Junk for $199, I should have bought all 11 of 'em. Could have pretty much tripled my investment in just a little over 10 yrs, makes some of my other investments look like they're sucking hind tit. And a Mak 90 ain't nothin' special.
I'd just as soon not talk about the investment which returned an app -1,800% per yr loss. Damn quick.
Wouldn't mind having a couple of SS 396 Chevelles in the shed, either...other than they'd be high maintenance. Worse than that, I might get a little tuned up and want to play with one, ain't the driver I once was. And it ain't 1969 no more.
