I can honestly say that I have never been treated poorly by any police officer. That statement should carry a little water too, as I have been arrested more than 30 times in my adult life. The only time I was ever injured by a cop, was when I turned around on one with a 7" buck knife open. I didn't know he was there, and he didn't know I had the knife, so we were both pretty surprised. Between him trying to take the knife, and me trying to give it to him, my little finger got cut nearly clean off. I went to jail for my part in the bar fight (after a trip to the hospital), but he made sure to let them know that I was actually handing the knife over, and the injury was an accident. When I got out a few days later, he met me at the elevator and handed my knife back to me. I've always played it straight with law enforcement, and they have always played it straight with me. I was just a little wild in my younger days.
