I would be outraged as the professor was if I wasn't believed or trusted when I stated who I was, presented two forms of ID and that I was entitled to be at my own domicile (rented or owned). The professor was arrested after jumping ugly (verbally) on the officer. I think that restraint could have been used, and wasn't--then the wagons circled.

Fortunately for me, the last time I had trouble with my stuck front door, a neighbor who bothered to get to know me years ago, helped me rather than calling the cops.
Well, if I were the cop, I don't think I would have arrested him on his property unless he sucker punched me. Hell, I know I wouldn't have.

But the "prefesser" wasn't asking for it, he was begging for it, and he got it.

Come on folks, cops are people too. If you're nice to them, by and large, they're nice to you. 20 yrs ago, if he'd have pulled the same shit on the Houston, TX cops...his ass would have been found floating in the bayou the next day.

Just a thought...you don't need to go looking for trouble, it will find you easy enough,

Chas
