Of course OJ and Cosby have similar financial resources, but lots of guys with money get caught and go away for rape. Johnnie Cochran knew right away that OJ was going to skate when he expressed his pleasure to the rest of the legal team that their would be no change of venue and that they "got a downtown jury." There was a lot of stuff at play in the OJ case, it was a murder case, and the victim was the accused's wife.
And...this is a touchy subject...there was the considerable hostility from black women in America toward white women who were grabbing off so many black men who had "made it" financially. For some reason that hostility never seemed directed at the black men as it was at the white women.
