FWIW, I had a TS compartmentalized clearance for twenty years, and before that a Secret clearance for 18 years. If anybody had done what Hillary did with classified information relating to the work I did with the Department of Energy, they would be escorted out of the building forthwith and likely enjoying a sojourn in Federal prison.
She knew full well what she did was against security regulations, but did it anyway due to her paranoia about the "vast right wing conspiracy." IMO, her actions should disqualify her as a candidate, notwithstanding the fact that I was generally supportive of her before this story broke. Her bunker mentality drove her to take a chance that her actions would remain undiscovered. They didn't. She rolled the dice and lost. Period.
The only reason that she remains a viable candidate (for the moment, anyway) is that the Democratic Party has so much invested in her after having chosen her as their sole candidate years ago.
