This would be akin to me sitting on a DoD Source Selection Board (which I have many times) while my wife was taking $500K to speak at an annual meeting of one of the companies under consideration by the Board.
I'm having a real hard time understanding why anyone would have difficulty understanding the conflict of interest Hillary and Bill's actions represent. Hell, the administration recognized such potential problems in advance and signed an MOU with Hillary to avoid/report such actions and she failed to comply with this explicit agreement.
I have no sympathy for her position, perhaps because avoidance of such conflicts was drilled into my head annually for about 25 years as a Contracting Officer and a high-level Federal manager. Admittedly, there are grey areas in Federal conflict-of-interest laws, but this isn't remotely close to being a grey area. Even without the specifics of the Russian Uranium issue, having a Secretary of State's spouse and his foundation accepting millions of dollars from foreign governments (whether friendly governments or otherwise) is profoundly wrong.
