I did some research and found these chair lifts at a Medical Supply house. They are made here and I was quoted $6,500.00 for all four. Our staircases have a landing and a 90 degree turn part way up. I sent them the measurements and a week later the salesman called and said they were on the way. I said but we have not paid you I will send a check right away. He said that he thought we were paying by credit card so he took $500 off. They are made by Summit but I installed them myself. Since the motors are DC they have brushes and one day one chair simply stopped so I replaced the brushes and it is good as gold.

Thank you Rob for this picture. It is interesting. So Florence is actually not in the second floor yet when the stair lift is up? We had exactly the same situation. So we needed a stair lift with a curve. This made it more expensive than the second stair lift which goes down to the basement.
It is sooooooo great that your Florence has a stair lift! This makes her feeling safe for sure!
