I have no beef with seatbelts, as being kin to mostly cops I've seen first hand the outcome of wearing them vs not and I do wear mine.

But what I do have a beef with is The New Child Seats ( they have expiration dates and you'll get fined for using one that's expired ) .. the new Legal Up To Date ones we bought for the grandkids will only fit a 2005 or newer vehicle. They'll buckle in any vehicle once the child is old enough ( 1 year ) to face fwd, but until then they have to face backwards and will not buckle in pre-05 vehicles ''Now''.. and we don't own anything newer than 2001. So I took the child seats apart, ran belts through them and put the child seats back together. Was a real pain in the ass and you can't remove the seats without removing the child first, then take the darn things apart... so they staying in the car until May when I can turn them around facing fwd. The child seats will buckle in any vehicle normal then. Not sure what they were thinking assuming everyone having a kid today would own at least 2005 or newer vehicle to leave the hospital in.
