Y'know dave...I expect that a certain percentage of cops will always be abusive. Being willing to deliver physical discomfort to alleged perps is a large part of the personality profile wanted on the job. They get pissed off and react in the way they've been trained to react. So hearing about these incidents is less annoying to me than the ignorant excusers and apologistas who, faced with incontrovertible evidence of the abuse, go on with their stupid statements in defense of the behavior.
