Those affected should grow up?
It's very similar to the issue I have with many reservation bound American Indians.
They lament their lives there with poverty rampant, crime, drugs, violence, et al, but
they won't leave because -- somehow -- they have developed a sort of Stockholm Syndrome from a
prior oppressor mandating that anything less is "non-traditional" or "progressive."
Like many in other cultures, they have assimilated the values of a social power which no longer forces them to live, act or believe in this manner without their tacit approval.
And they give it.
That's not -- and this goes for MANY minorities - the fault of the white man, it's internal.
"Still going on?"
That's because it's how the animals
want to live. Humans would get a job...
