I get confused about all these "stages". Michael Brown jumped on Darren Wilson through a car window? And then in the street, when Brown was surrendering or taking another run at Wilson. Accounts vary indeed.
But according to the radio news this morning, Melnick's report says something else. It says all of Browns wounds were "close range" wounds. I hadn't heard that before. So perhaps Michael Brown never disengaged at all?
