Not clear on the concept of context at times though, eh Was? Just a few pages back and a few days ago I attempted to present the point that much of the information we're reading about the transmission of Ebola is incorrect and that dressing people up like they're leaving the lunar lander for a moon walk isn't necessary and may make it more dangerous in some cases. That has nothing to do with my post above.
My comment in this thread is about, and in the context of, the fiscal responsibility that members of hospital boards of directors have. You don't want your hospital to be an "Ebola only hospital" because of the scary contagion factor. The contagion factor is the contagion factor. An Ebola only hospital is no longer doing neurosurgery, cardio/vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery...or any of the other complicated and expensive procedures that earn the big money for any hospital. I don't want my hospital losing money. It has nothing to do with mistakes made that get health workers infected...it has to do with the bottom line. If that's not what one is thinking about as a member of a hospital board of directors, one doesn't belong on a hospital board of directors.

It all comes down to the almighty dollar if you were a board member? How very free enterprise oriented of you! Hopefully those actually on those boards are more concerned with the public health than you are.
