It appears that there's a rift in the Brown family's team. The forensic pathologist that was hired by the family has reported that all wounds entered from the front side of his body. So it appears he was not shot while attempting to flee.
The family's attorney pretty much immediately challenged his own pathologist's report claiming the the autopsy indicated a "back-to-front direction" even though the preliminary report stated just the opposite.
What I've read is that this report stated that there were six wounds and the first 5 were likely to be "survivable".
