It is a 1000x.
I fixed it once, with quite a bit of help from the guys at AK.
It was a bad driver board that took out a couple of output transistors. (Or vice-versa?)
So, I scrounged up a good board from a guy on ebay and ordered new transistors from Mouser. (Yes, they had them. Same numbers, same manufacturer; Toshiba.)
It worked GREAT for about a week, then the sound just went completely dead. Lights come up---no sound. No obvious damage, all of my solder joints testing good.
I just didn't feel like bothering with it anymore after that. Had other projects to finish.
