Yep. When I joined the Navy in '82, lots of the people I knew had decent paying (private sector) jobs with pension benefits. Thank God we've done away with that, it was way too good for them and the corporations resented being saddled with it. See, now we get to support them with our tax money through PBGC and the social safety net. It's so much better that way, because now the Romney types can bitch about the 47% while they avoid paying taxes and stick us with the bill. They are so much happier with that arrangement. And that's what life is all about, isn't it? Keeping rich people happy...... (Yes, I'm being sarcastic.)
