Oh, I dunno. No, there are no jobs in the manufacture of the rolling stock. There are probably no jobs in making the rails or sleepers either. That doesn't mean that there are no jobs though. There are jobs building the system. Then there are jobs operating and maintaining it once it's built. There's a societal benefit just from
having and
using the system, regardless of where the train actually came from. The guy who hires a crew to dig holes and another crew to fill them in is a "job creator" but where's the benefit to the society?
