My copy was the original (at least in the U.S.) Capitol Records. It was '67 or '68. I earned the money by digging the leaves out of the stairwell. (Not too many jobs for ten-year-olds then).
So much for the trip down Memory Lane. It was a heckuva introduction to the pop/rock music world. I listened to it again a few years ago, after I got into the vintage gear habit, and it was as if it was brand new again. What a ground-breaking album.

Yeah it is a great album...probably the best outside of Abbey Road....it has the best mix of all of their talents. I actually have the 7 1/2 isp Capitol factory reel from the 60s....I would sell that on BT but there is weird sort of drop in volume on one of the channels on the second side of the tape. I guess I need to test all of the tracks on an auto reverse deck.
