In my opinion I think Abraham Lincoln was effective Because of the enviroment he came up in,It was not tainted by the rose colored specticles worn by the upper crust. He saw thae world as it was,All the ugliness it had to offer.so He knew what issues to go after and what was relavent.that is what ,Inmy opinion stops a lot of our leaders from doing a effective Job,The plain and simple fact ,they Dont know what the hell is going on in the world around them by this I mean in their own backyard.
