My CD was Ubuntu 7.10. It was a bit of a headache to make changes to or try to adapt programs to run on it, but that was years ago so I thought I'd give 13.04 a shot. I couldn't believe the ease of use and was like, wow! My printer CD doesn't support linux, but it doesn't have to because it detected the printer no problem and put it to work without help of a CD. I was amazed that it auto configured to run a device that only supported windows. I really like the improvements they've made. I haven't tried anything else non windows yet other than Ubuntu. There must be a ton of Linux out there so I just 'picked something' and hoped it worked.
