No objective observer can dispute that the State of Florida broke the law in the 2000 election. If you doubt this, just look at the coverage in the foreign press. Unlike ours, their media had no reason to sugar coat or conceal the truth.
In a race this close there will always be questions. As far as I know, the questions in this race have to do with the decisions of the state regarding the recount. There is no question of an engineered victory for Frankin through purging voter rolls or vote flipping.
"This gal" lost. If she's stupid enough to make the statement she is said to have made her loss was well deserved. Her remarks were condemned by both sides.

A state legislator calling for a legal change in eligibility requirements proves what, exactly?

The objections to this have to do with the hardship obtaining a
photo ID would have on poor and elderly (read Democratic) voters. I have a voter registration card issued by the PRC (People's Republic of California). I had one when I lived in Maryland, in New Jersey and in Virginia. (Can't remember about Colorado.)
The ACORN scandal is bullshit. The cases of fraudulent registrations involving ACORN canvassers were reported to the FEC by ACORN themselves. These were cases of people who were getting paid by the registrant padding out their pay packets with bogus registrants.
Nobody has been able to successfully prosecute ACORN for anything and very few have tried because the value of ACORN is in the suspicions created in the public mind by right wing operatives. Any pursuit of justice would exhonerate ACORN and thus remove the stigma.

Tip of the iceberg and the list goes on and on. Yes, we have problems.

Global climate change has made this into a tiny little iceberg.

To answer the OP's question. I'm much more in tune with the Republican message than what the Dem's have to offer. Keep in mind that I firmly believe the democrat party of today hardly resembles that of my Father's Democrat party.

"IC"! DemocratIC Party!

The Democratic Farm Labor Party was allways a little bit of an odd duck. Humphrey and Mondale were a bit of a breed apart.
