Your Hannity "comparison" shows nothing, by the way. Many were in favor of phone record data collection under the Act when “relevant to a terrorism investigation." The ultra - broad interpretation of that section, and the way it is currently being utilized, bears no resemblance to its original intent, so say those who were involved in its implementation.
Of course, the left loves to look at law as a something that can and must be reinterpreted to reflect the times.
