That's the equivalent of ten 9-11 attacks per year. Accordingly, there have been over 100 times as many killed by gun violence in this country than have been killed by terrorists since 9-11. In fact, there have been nearly 2000 times as many people killed by gun violence in the US last year (~30,000) as there have been US citizens killed by terrorism worldwide ( 17). Yet, we are willing to spend $ trillions and to curtail civil liberties to fight terrorism, but won't even pass a background check for a terrorist who wants to buy a gun at a gunshow or over the Internet. Explain that to me. |
You can't explain it....
I am not for banning weapons with the exception of semi-automatic assault rifles and large magazines. And background checks.
You guys all act like it is the end of civilization.
