It does oversimplify the Libertarian perspective, though. True Libertarians, such as Ron Paul, advocate for less
federal government. They want to give power back to the
states so that government works closer to home. That's a perfectly reasonable position and within it avoids the wealthy federal govt/military industrial symbiosis.
It is the anarcho-capitalists such as Ayn Rand that would create the Somalian paradise.
