Nothing's going to happen on immigration until President Clinton replaces Scalia and/or Thomas on the Supreme Court.

Just means the Democrats will win next year. The OP does not understand the political dynamics. Even if he failed Latinos know who has their back...and who doesn't. If Boehner had pushed through Rubio's immigration bill the latter may have had a shot next year. The way it is now Rubio has pissed off the baggers for proposing it and Latinos for abandoning it. He will never be President.

From the VOX article in Post #1, here is the reason for the original court injunction and subsequently upheld now.
Quote:

Hanen's ruling was about a procedural law called the Administrative Procedures Act, and in particular the "notice and comment requirement" — which is the typical procedure for making federal regulations. According to Cecilia Wang, Director of the Immigrant Rights Project for the ACLU, Hanen's ruling said that "if (the government) wanted to do these things it should have provided notice in the Federal Register, with period for comment." But because the Obama administration didn't do that for these actions, the ruling says, it violated the law.
The ruling is not about the constitutionality of the EO but the procedure followed. It says the Obama administration is expected to appeal the rulings. In doing so this issue stays active on the campaign trail which will hurt the GOP, especially Rubio.

Rubio just took on a Jesus weasel to boost his appeal to evangelicals, and repel those that can't stand them.
