Nugent doesn't care whether what he says is accurate. Nugent tweets to inflame his fellow travelers and draw attention to himself. It's like engaging in antagonistic posting on a forum.

Racism from a rock star is still racism.

I like to listen to some of Nugents music as I with others like Neil Young. Their political affiliation doesn't change what I want to listen to.

No one cares if you like his music. You are getting flak for 'loving' (your word) his political expression. (See OP).
