The energy boys under son Bush made up their own energy policy - ENERGY POLICY ACT 2005 - included the clause which gave frackers exemption from certain requirements of the SAFE DRINKING WATER ACT.

Efforts to repeal this exemption has been unsuccessful.

Freaking fracking has actually benefited regular folks. Hopefully it's not a disaster.
