Terry Lynn Land - A Semi Truck? Really?

Dear Terry Lynn Land,

As a Ted Nugent type of nature loving person, I have to ask what you were thinking when you chose to cruise around in a semi tractor. Really? Ted Nugent, for all the faults that Democrats throw at him, at least had the common sense to stick with something as small as a 4x4.

You lost my vote, Terry. :(

Uh, what? Context, please.

Probably loves semis.

If you come to my home, you might wonder why I have so many ancient audio equipment.

Some like old stamps.

Some new Porche.

Terry Lynn Land is running for a Senate office to represent Michigan. Her campaign has a semi tractor as a sort of mascot. It strikes me as wasteful from the get-go.

It is a mascot...as in political gimmick? What is the aim?

Heard of "coal rolling" as a wasteful protest? Combine that with the symbology of an inappropriately scaled vehicle and there's your wingnut.

Koched up Ann Coulter wannabe.

Sorry Ed. :o

Does she drive it herself? Is she pulling a trailer outfitted as a campaign bus?

If not, I'm not impressed. Just driving a tractor bobtail is a wasteful way to blow a lot of carbon, and they are an accident risk driven that way too. They don't brake well and they spin-out easily.

I do not know the aim, but you ask a hard question. That is why I respect you on this board.

The hard questions that politicians seem afraid to answer are simple. The questions go along the lines of this -- If you have your way what will your world be like?

I am not a prophet, but I know the following. Given a spectrum of choice between politicians that walk and politicians that cruise in semi-tractors, I will tend toward the walkers.

Don't be sorry. I would rather spar than lose you as a friend.
