Cantor's Final Bit Of Rightwing Douchebaggery

He's pulling a Palin so that Brat will have a leg up.

The fiscal conservative wants the governor of Virginia to schedule a 'special' election.

Good riddance. The GOP's antics are wearing thin in Virginia. It's a wonderful state, despite quite a collection of Bible-thumpery, 'Baggermania and other political douchebaggery.

“That way he will also have seniority, and that will help the interests of my constituents [because] he can be there in that consequential lame-duck session,”

Said Cantor, referring to Brat getting into office early. But if the lame-duck session is expected to be so consequential, shouldn't Cantor stay on, with his 14 years of seniority? Wouldn't that help the constituents a lot more than Brat with a few weeks of it?

He's quitting early so that he can go to work on K St. that much sooner as a lobbyist.

Bingo. It's amazing that such a snake oil salesman is actually in demand. Well, maybe not.:o

True that, Pat. The McDonnell trial is the latest GOP Festival of Dysfunction. Way too many of these people actually believed all the nonsense about all Republicans being highly moral men of pure and squeaky clean honor. Of course that has always been nothing but horseshit showboating. After all a politician is a politician. You know that, I know that, I think most people do, but some of us are just slow to catch on.

It is both highly entertaining and disgusting keeping up with McDonnell's trial. It's too bad that Cuccinelli isn't there with him.
