In the long term Republicans are screwed, but they will do well in 2014.

They have fewer Senate Seats to defend and the Dems are notoriously bad at turnout during off year elections.

And they will be able to obstruct any meaningful legislation to help restore the middle class for a long time.

For that to happen there will have to be at least 65 Democrats in the Senate and 300 in the House, plus a liberal dem in the white house. Preferably more.

In other words we need a federal government like we had under FDR during the depression.

Until that happens, the poor and the middle class are going to be sucking hind tit.

These people will be beholden to their own paymasters thanks to Citizens United. So in that sense, nothing will change and I agree with Dave.

People need to wake the Fuck up and not vote for whomever has put the most ads on TV.

Those sorts of margins seem to be working well in California.
