No, this isn't a matter of a guy having a heart attack and it's too late to take him off the ballot. This is much stranger than that.

Tim Murray, running against long-time congressman Frank D. Lucas, in a Republican primary race, says the guy who beat him isn't actually Frank D. Lucas. He says Lucas (and other congressmen!) were hung, and so died, in the Ukraine, back in January of 2011. He says Lucas has been replaced by a double, so the election shouldn't stand.

There's also an artificial intelligence robot involved. I am not making this up.

The thing is, this all hasn't just happened. The people who created the Tea Party were deliberately out to mobilize the people we see here, bumbling about on the political stage. They saw the uninformed and uneducated as a useful constituency for them--one they could use. One they could misinform all they want and they'd buy it. One easy to scare; one with resentments easy to tap.

But that anger can be turned on these manipulators, if the game is exposed.

I sort of remember the term dupes from the Red Scare...that Communists were puppet masters pulling the strings on a bunch of naive followers who could not fend for themselves. I find it strange that people would elect anti-government Tea Party types in states that receive large federal transfers from same hated government.

Why would people elect a Jindal or Scott who want to not provide them with health care while the same voters are funding it through their income taxes?

I am cynical though...once they get their Medicaid expansion those voters will still vote Tea Party.

TP people believe President Obama is a Muslim from Kenya. They think FEMA is going to put them in camps. They buy it when told the ACA includes 'death panels." The conspiracy theory regarding Congressman Lucas is just an example of a widespread pattern.

But I completely deny being bigoted. Bigots stereotype people, and dislike them, think them inferior, insult them, even hate them. I do none of these things toward the TP folk. Yes, I think them uninformed and uneducated, but these are faults I would see mended. Yes, I see them being misled, I see the whole TP movement as, at core, a huge fraud against them. But I would see this fraud exposed, that they might reject it, and be better off. I want only good things for TP people, and for all people.
