So what effect will it have on states Like oklahoma were they are trying to put a Bill toghether.will that trump state laws?

The house bill (H.R. 4660) looks weird. According to the summary it says that the DEA cannot use funds from the Act to prevent states from implementing their own marijuana laws.

IMO that's a tough law to implement because it is dependent on accounting methods.

You may actually be onto something there DJ except that it's the 'pubbies who will filibuster the bill in the senate. Smells like an election year stunt courtesy of the Republican party.

Right. Support the bill in the house to get the legalization vote, then kill it in the senate once they're past the election. I can see that. It just seems odd that legalization is advancing in blue states like Colorado and Washington with GOP resistance, but on the federal level it has the appearance of being the other way around.

Something definitely smells funny about that.
