Ignore List
So who has me on his Ignore List...? no no no... stop... I don't wanna know that...:D
You might not believe it but I really do not know precisely much about this list. I know where it is in the User CP. Okay. I can ad a member into the list there - but what happens then? Will I get no emails from him anymore? Can't I see his posts anymore? If that would be the case a thread could be sometimes totally distorted. Hmmm. Please some explanations, thanks. (But my Ignore List will probably remain empty no matter what it is actually about, I am just curious. I think that I can survive without this tool. 11000 posts at AK may confirm that...) |
I *think* it means that you simply cant see any of their posts anymore and they are unable to PM you.

Why would YOU be on anybodies "Ignore List"?

I consider the Ignore function a personal banning device. That allows an individual member to choose to no longer be exposed to the posts of another member member, if he has found that member's posts to be offensive, annoying, or simply a waste of time - or for whatever reason the person using the function chooses. You can find the ability to activate it in your User CP.

You can click view to see the offending member's post if they are on ignore.
And if you refresh the page it is ignored again. That way I can keep my Bluestreak dose down a bit;) |

Did D-Ray just post something?

Thank you folks.
Well - if somebody in my opinion is worth being ignored I just utter a curse against him, that is sufficient... ;) |
Thing about the ignore function is that it works fine right up until something is posted with a quote from the member you have on ignore. Doesn't work so well for me. I had Todd Fotuar on ignore one time over on the old Political Slugfest, and ended up firing off at the little schmuck every time one of his quotes showed up.
Of course that's not the ignore function's fault, it's my bad impulse control. |
