Boston Strong...racism
Boston Bruins fans blew up Twitter Thursday night following the team’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
P.K. Subban ended up scoring the winning goal in the fifth minute of the second overtime. Fans showing disappointment would have been completely understandable. But many of them took it to a whole other level, seeming to follow in the footsteps of Donald Sterling. Dang, and from a thoroughly blue state and city well. I thought only Repubs were racist?? http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2014/05/...s-game-winner/ |
Whoever said, "Only Republicans are racist.", Mike?

The fallacy is tarring the left by going from the general ("thoroughly blue state and city") to the specific (whoever posted the racist tweets). First of all, 'thoroughly blue' actually sort of ignores a very sizeable 'red' minority in a state that does elect Republicans. Romney got 1.2 million votes in Mass. in 2012. Second, who says only Republicans are racist? The identified pattern certainly doesn't translate to 'only.'
We actually have no idea if the racist tweeters represent any particular political alignment. Though if I had to bet, I'd say Romney votes are probably 'over-represented....' |
I'm waiting for it. It'll go something like this: Those were all white fans that were from the south watching the game.

Ever since the days of Milt Schmidt the Bruins depended more on brawn than skill.

Anyone remember the denizens of South Boston tossing bricks and cabbages during the school busing integration days of yore? |
