the passion
Why is it that a lot of people on bothh sides put so much passion into their political veiws and show no concern for theirselves and others,is it the feeling of being in some type of group like a gang member would shout "crip for life" or simular.it reminds me of the televacilist asking for tidhes, and the poor congregation sending their last money.same for the political leaders taking donations from their constiuents and getting their loyalty.maybe I am wrong but I find it interesting the way these things work.

Cleon it is not that case with our representatives Senator Barb has been there when we needed her and Rep Cummings the same. We have not had any need to call upon Senator Ben yet but he is a go to guy as others have found. When we were in Rep Bartlett's district he was as much use as a milk bucket with a bull.
I don't know about passion as my political views are based upon what I have see to work not half-assed theories. |
Haven't you got your tattoo yet, John? If not, I'll have to send a few boys around to talk to you.

LOL You Guys,Yea Rob I was coming to that or I knew it would turn up,We have had a couple senators here in Oklahome that Have shown backbone, even to their own party and that is good they are performing their duties as a elected official.but their are some that just use politics for a springboard and use the people that voted for them to move up in status.
I know it is the same ole same ole there are good ones and there are bad ones, but it is just crazy the way people are blinded by them just because they are in the same party. |
Whenever people want to criticize other people's identity-loyalty, they bring up street gangs. As if what the gangs do is especially stupid and awful, compared to what everyone else does.
Identity-loyalty and leader-loyalty are natural, and very stiuational for the most part. You're right, there's not much sense to the amount of passion triggered by politics. Most of the time, our passion is never going to make a ton of difference to anything. But it used to make a good bit of difference who was in charge of the hunting band, so we have these instincts to get fired-up. |
naw no criticism here, just interested in man's basic nature and such.and in the same vein of things see the varying level of responses and direction.

Politics, particularly in our two-party-winner-take-all world, has become a team sport. As in sports, you support your team when it comes to on-field penalties, off-field behavior, trades, etc. whether they're right or wrong. For example, I like nearly all the players on the NY Yankees (except ARod, of course), but I hate the friggin' Yankees (for no good reason other than I like the Orioles). Similarly, I hate the Braves because I like the Nationals.
