The Tea Party in Mississippi
Apparently, Mississippi is the state where the Tea Party has the greatest chance of bumping off an establishment Republican in their upcoming primary.
The irony is that the anti-tax Tea Party has its best chance in a state where 46% of the state budget comes from the federal government . Consider: 2007-2009 Federal taxes paid, avg.: $11.06 billion 2007-2009 Federal funding received, avg.: $31.27 billion 2007-2009 Amount received per tax dollar paid, avg.: $2.83 I guess it helps that Mississippi has the worst schools in the country. They seem willing to cut off their nose to spite their face. |
Yep. And, let's see anyone question THAT source as it's basically the state government squealing on itself.

They are the direct moronic descendants of interbreeding nativist American Know Nothings from the 1850's. |
I love it when right wingers run out of other people to blame. It is sweet poetic justice on so many levels.

And the largest employer in the state of Utah is the Federal Government.
You see baggers are ok with Uncle Sugar when they are at the trough.;) |
Yeah looks like Uncle Sugar is about 1/3 of Alaska's economy too.
Quote :Between 2004 and 2006, the federal government was responsible for 135,000 Alaska jobs, the petroleum sector provided 110,000 jobs and all other industries and services combined for 122,000 jobs.[9] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Alaska |
