What are US Military Aircraft doing in Sudan?
"KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) -- Rebel fire hit two U.S. military aircraft responding to the outbreak in violence in South Sudan on Saturday, wounding three U.S. service members and heavily damaging at least one of the aircraft, officials said. South Sudan blamed the attack on renegade troops in control of the breakaway region."
"It was not immediately known what the U.S. aircraft were doing in Bor. One official said it appeared the aircraft were Ospreys, the type of aircraft that can fly like a helicopter and a plane." http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...12-21-07-08-38 I know that we've had operations going on there to get US citizens out of the area. But WTF were the military aircraft doing "responding to the outbreak in violence"? |
Hopefully, they are there to mistakenly blow up the U.S. Embassy and kill a bunch of innocent Americans so you can have more shit to bitch at Obama about.
Love, Dave:) |
Getting citizens out is 'responding to the outbreak of violence.'

Sorry, Mike. I'm thinking it's not part of the Obamas broader and waaaaaaay sinister plot to redistribute your wealth and turn your kids into flaming drag queens as he and his UN backed Black Panther Commandos rape and pillage fat white women at trailer parks in Lubbock, Texas in the name of "destroying America". See; "The Blaze" and/or "Infowars" for the lowdown on what's "really" behind it all. Dave |
I've come to expect that Whell doesn't read the articles he links to. For example, the very first sentence in the linked article is "Rebel gunfire hit a U.S. military aircraft trying to evacuate American citizens caught in a remote region of South Sudan..."
What are we supposed to do? Send them cab fare (or in this instance, camel fare perhaps)? |

"NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) -- Two officials have told The Associated Press that a U.N. helicopter trying to evacuate peacekeepers and civilians was fired on and sustained significant damage on Friday in the same restive South Sudan state where a U.S. helicopter was hit Saturday." Here's how it read earlier this morning: ""KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) -- Rebel fire hit two U.S. military aircraft responding to the outbreak in violence in South Sudan on Saturday, wounding three U.S. service members and heavily damaging at least one of the aircraft, officials said. South Sudan blamed the attack on renegade troops in control of the breakaway region." A story that suggests that US military aircraft are responding to an outbreak of violence is obviously quite different that a story about the US military supporting an evacuation. What is a mystery is why the AP fails to indicate that their story has been updated from how it read earlier. |

In Fact, here's a link to the story from AP on Yahoo News. Its dated for "3 hours ago", and it reads like the AP web page did earlier this morning when I first saw it. At least it reads that way at present.

According to news that we heard they were sending extra Marins to the U.S. embassy in Juba the capitol city.

I find it very amusing the way so many of our Right Wing Warmongers have morphed into Cindy Sheehan Code Pinkers now that Obama is CINC.
