Political Forums - Rca tube hybrid solid state console

since this is the one place affiliated with AK that I haven't been banned from sure why not..

so GE and philco screwed around at a party one night and spawned this weirdness..

its a RCA New Vista console stereo that seems to be confused about what it wants to be. I encountered this thing at a shop last week with a FREE sign on it. they said they couldn't get any sound out of it. its a hybrid unit that's half solid state and half tube. tube perceiver and a solid state amp that just looks like trouble. the damn thing is a mess and looked like some 10 year olds science fair project.

so I get the thing back to the garage and start messing with it. I had it running in 5 mins lol :D

I mean come on. really? REALLY!!!!!?? ive never seen something so sloppy and crudely put together. it has firebomb all over it. atleast the maggotbox I dragged home last week is actually put together somewhat respectably.
anyway its a interesting piece that's for sure. its in a cool looking cabinet and dosent sound horrible. it dosent sound as solis as the Maggie but hey free is a good price.
