Valerie Plame on Edward Snowden
"I don't think [Snowden's] a hero, I don't condone what he did. At the same time he's certainly not a traitor as he was called by Dick Cheney," Plame told HuffPost Live host Mike Sacks. "In a way, we as U.S. citizens owe Edward Snowden a thank you for having brought this issue to the forefront and so that we can begin to have a serious and genuine conversation about these issues."
Plame also rolled her eyes at Cheney labeling Snowden a traitor, given the Bush administration's involvement in leaking her identity to columnist Robert Novak. "The irony of people like Dick Cheney or Karl Rove whining and bemoaning the fact of the leak of intelligence -- given my history and certainly Dick Cheney's intimate involvement with the betrayal of my CIA identity -- is really something," she said. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...n_3466824.html I don't take issue with her POV. |
I would have agreed with her POV right up to the point Snowden offered to tell foreign governments how we spy on them.....beyond that, I'd have to agree with Cheneys assesment.
However, I hope the shrill response from Cheney, Graham and other GOP'ers get's it through rightwinger skulls that the Republicans are just as complicit as anyone else. Already, I've seen that a right many of them refuse to see it. (Like they refuse to see so many things.) Dave |
He certainly is a traitor. He is giving ammunition and comfort to our enemies and potential enemies.
I firmly believe he is a Red Chinese spy. Probably took money or is being blackmailed. |
We should have done better than this bum for $122K/year.
A high school drop out with gaping holes in his resume. Four weeks on the job and the guy squeals. Has no credibility nor integrity and he is lecturing like a demagogue? NSA contractor hired Snowden despite concerns about resume discrepancies http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...95K01J20130621 |

I for one think it is still to early to have a opinion on his loyalty. I keep thinking why go to china? One could leak the info to the US papers and let the fur fly and stay in country.
But for all I know he could of been a few steps ahead of a special ops team. Barney |

If that is in any way credible, it's no wonder that we can't keep a secret. Chas |
