Veterans Day

Hats off to all veterans, including draftees;). Thank you for your service.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veterans_Day

Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, originally celebrated as Armistice Day. The day the First World War ended.

It has always bothered me that we changed a celebration of peace into a celebration of our participation in wars.

That said, it doesn't surprise me.

John
