Eric Cantor is pond scum
He has doubled down on his insistence that the aid to Joplin tornado victims be offset by cuts in green energy spending.
http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-3460_162-20067183.html How bout this you f'ing little punk. Lets cut all Congresscritters salaries to the mean average income of a "real" American workers yearly earnings of around $40,000. Then we close your Capitol restaurant and health clinic. Then, We The People will authorize a healthcare plan that has a $3000 copay and only pays 80% and cost $500 a month. Then we slash your budgets so you can't hire limo's, with drivers, to haul your sorry ass all over DC. No more housing allowance. Your operating budget needs to be stopped. You will have to fire all your advisers and staff. You can keep one secretary. Time for you to actually do some work. After that we need to intercept all the lobbyist money you stuff into your pockets everyday. Then we cut your first class accommodations to fly home to coach accommodations. That should just about cover the aid money Joplin needs. While we are at it lets cut the oil company subsidies you just approved. Propose a bill to cut off all funding for Afghanistan, continuing operations in Iraq, and fund the closing of Gitmo which the President already ordered. I could go on but you get the picture. This is not about left or right. This is about a totally devastated city that still has not accounted for 100 people missing over a year after it happened. I saw the devastation up close and personal. It disturbed me for months. Just look at the pictures. Cantor is an amoral prick. As much as I would like to wish this devastation on his family and friends; I can't. That little weasel needs to read the Preamble to the Constitution. I doubt it would do much good though. I have donated a considerable sum of money and supplies to the victims of the Joplin tornado. My small contributions help, but large amounts of aid are needed, and not just for Joplin. The Federal government is the only source. It is obvious that private charity is not enough. |
Responding to an EMERGENCY is something that can't wait for this bureaucrat to waste months arguing over where the money is going to come from. By the time asshole finally gets out of the way, it'll be too late.......Or maybe that's the whole idea?
What horrible people we have elected and what an ugly reflection that is of.....US. Dave |

I have volunteered at the Salvation Army shelter here and have literally given a man the coat off my back. He walked ten miles to work at a fast food restaurant everyday. Eventually, I talked a friend, who owned a regional transport company, into giving him free rides to work at my expense. He eventually got back on his feet and I still see him around. He is married, has kids, and I get my cars worked on for full price, oh well. :D |
More misery for those most in need is all that is gained by this political brinksmanship. We live in a country that has been hijacked by political hacks to further their own interests and their paymasters. When you vote for your representative in the house this November keep in mind who's company they keep. Cantor et al want no regulations on the economic system and huge tax breaks for the corporate moguls.
|
Are you suggesting that the interests of "corporate moguls" and mine aren't one and the same, Bob?
|
Cantor is just a little pipsqueak even if he does like to call himself one of "The Young Guns" - sure the kind we had as kids with the cork at the end of the string. And this is the best the GOP can come up with?

Today is the day! If you know anyone in cheeseland (Wisconsin) tell 'em to get off their ass and vote tomorrow. (Maybe I'll start my own thread. I wouldn't want Wgrr to think I was threadcrapping.):) |

History shows that "Young Guns" were always glamorized impulsive undisciplined menaces to society. |

I'm going out to my garage an' make me up some wooden pitchforks (Eames style, of course!) and some torches. (Roman style, natch..)
It is never too late to voice your displeasure at the vastly underwhelming House and Senate. Obstructionism is the mantra of the Repubs in those two gin joints and you can't be reminded of it enough. The old blame game falls flat on it's face in regards to President Obama's efforts. |
