Thank you Big Bill and Merrylander! My best wishes of the day to Florence Merrylander. We women know it takes more than an act of giving birth to make a mother. One of the most motherly women I knew...never gave birth. ((hugs))

You are both most welcome, and Florence says Thank You. Lovely flower arrangement arrived for Mom and Grandma from Ottawa. Brian and the girls will come down in August 'cause Madeleine said "We have not seen Grandma and Grandpa in a long time."

This was taken at a play their Dad took them to see, That is Charlotte on the right and Madeleine on the left. Apparently the actors in the play really took to the girls. Poor Madeleine is in the process of shedding her baby teeth at the moment.

Of course. We had never seen Charlotte except in pictures. When our son drove down with them two years ago Charlotte was in her car seat in the back seat. Brian came around and undid her belts and said "That's your Grandpa." She just popped into my arms and wrapped her arms around my neck. Now what would you have done. I just carried her inside to meet her Grandma.:)

However they are a couple of talented girls, Madeleine showed great aptitude playing on the small electric organ we have. So last Christmas we got them an 88 key Yamaha electronic piano, lessons start next month. She had been enrolled in a Suzuki method violin class but their useless mother kept forgetting to take her to class.
