Whose really waging it?

Now that the race is essentially down to two, the Obama camp's desperation to deflect from his record of failure is starting to churn up some very interesting (in a freakishly disturbing sort of way) strategies.

Never mind the war on whitey (that's for another thread), Obama and company have lately been accusing Romney of waging a war on women. Aren't liberals ever shocked by their own levels of hypocrisy?!? The ad hominem attacks on Sarah Palin put forth by liberals since day one, besides being disgusting and mean spirited to the point of being embarrassing to any proud American, negated any claims liberals may try to assert as respecting of women or defenders of women's rights.


Reminiscent of the Teresa Heinz-Kerry's elistist attacks on one of America's most popular and well liked first ladies for being a stay-at-home mom and a one time librarian, here's an Obama advisor throwing two hypocrisy stones (the "war on women" one, and the "family is off limits one") at once by attacking Ann Romney's right to have an opinion on the economy because she's "never worked a day in her life!"

Come to think of it, I'm wondering where these "war on" phrases came from in a social context. Obviously, it goes back at least to the Johnson Administration's "War on Poverty", then Nixon's "War on Cancer." I can't remember if the eradication of small pox or the polio campaign used the "War on" moniker.

It is in bad taste to make those kind of comments of the immediate family of any candidate. Wiki sez she has MS and that can be tough and debilitating. Well actually it is tough and debilitating.
That said their family is L33T and hopelessly clueless to the middle class. The more they try the worse they look. Just the way it is and the way it will be.
I do wish the Mittster would give up on those blue jeans though, just plain tacky. :eek:
